Val Rita-Harty is a township municipality in Cochrane District in Northeastern Ontario, Canada.[2] [3] [4] [5]
The township consists of two communities, Val Rita and Harty, both located along Highway 11 between Opasatika and Kapuskasing. It was incorporated as a township in 1973, following a failed community effort in 1964 to request incorporation as a municipality.
In the 2021 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, Val Rita-Harty had a population of living in of its total private dwellings, a change of from its 2016 population of . With a land area of 378.89km2, it had a population density of in 2021.[6]
