The U.S.-China Science and Technology Cooperation Agreement is a landmark scientific cooperation agreement between the Government of the United States and the Government of the People's Republic of China, signed in 1979.[1] [2] [3] It was the first accord signed between the United States and China following the formal establishment of diplomatic relations.[4] [5] [6] The agreement expired on August 27, 2024.[7]
