The Kid (novel) should not be confused with The Kid (2019 film).

The Kid is a 2016 historical western novel written by Ron Hansen.^[1] It is about the legendary Old West outlaw, Billy the Kid,^[2] including his involvement in the Lincoln County War of New Mexico.^[3]

Reception

According to Publishers Weekly, The Kid is "entertaining and lively…an excellent, transportive read".^[4]
