Telmessos (Caria) Explained

Telmessos or Telmessus, also Telmissos (grc|Τελμησσός or Τελμισσός), was a town in ancient Caria.

Its site is tentatively located at the remains near Görece in Asiatic Turkey. There was a shrine dedicated to Daphne in Telmessos.[1]
