Syumsinsky District (ru|Сюмси́нский райо́н; udm|Сюмси ёрос, Sjumsi joros) is an administrative[3] and municipal[4] district (raion), one of the twenty-five in the Udmurt Republic, Russia. It is located in the west of the republic. The area of the district is 1789.7km (1,112.1miles).[2] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Syumsi.[5] Population: 16,288 (2002 Census); The population of Syumsi accounts for 39.7% of the district's total population.
