Summit Lake is located along U.S. Route 45 north of Antigo, in the towns of Upham and Elcho. Summit Lake has a post office with ZIP code 54485.[3] As of the 2010 census its population was 144.[2]
A post office called Summit Lake has been in operation since 1882.[4] The community took its name from nearby Summit Lake.[5]
