"Static" is a song recorded by the American musician Steve Lacy. It was the third released single from his second studio album, Gemini Rights, on July 8, 2022.

In 2024, the song became popular on TikTok after a video of a TikToker that says "English or Spanish": when the responder says "English", the TikToker will say "whoever moves first, is gay", and the responder is pranked while the music plays, while the Spanish response features a Spanish translation.[1] [2]
