Shah Md. Ruhul Quddus is a politician of the Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and the former Member of Parliament of Khulna-6.

Career

Shah Md Ruhul Quddus was born in Amadi village of Koira upazila of Khulna district. His father is deceased Maqbul Hossain. He obtained his bachelor's and master's degrees from Rajshahi University. Ruhul Quddus is a member of the Central Working Council of Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh. He was the general secretary of All Pakistan Islami Chhatra Sangh (now Islami Chhatra Shibir) while studying at Rajshahi University in 1963. He joined the post of founder principal of Rampal Mahavidyalaya, Bagerhat in 1968 and was a teacher till 1979. Quddus was elected to parliament from Khulna-6 as a Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami candidate in 1991 and 2001.[1]
