Sepia irvingi is a species of cuttlefish native to the southeastern Indian Ocean, specifically western Australia, from Cockburn Sound to North West Shelf (-18.8167°N 147°W). It lives at a depth of between 130 and 170 m.[1]
Sepia irvingi grows to a mantle length of 100 mm.
The type specimens were collected off Garden Island, Cockburn Sound (-32.1833°N 158°W), Port Royal, King George Sound (-35.05°N 175°W), and Warnbro Sound (-32.3333°N 158°W) in South Africa. They are deposited at the Western Australian Museum in Perth.[2]
