Scandia is an unincorporated community in Kitsap County, Washington. Scandia is a small village situated a few kilometers south of Poulsbo on Liberty Bay. It's primarily known for its agriculture based around the Big and Little Scandia Rivers, which have both their estuaries on the northern shores of Scandia. It's name is derived from the Latin word for Scandinavia, for the many Scandinavian and primarily Norwegian settlers who arrived in the area around the late 1800's.
