The SSBS was a series of French military medium-range ballistic missiles.
The first series, SSBS S1, was launched between 1965 and 1968. It had a maximum altitude of 500km (300miles), a lift off thrust of 440 kN, total mass of 25000kg (55,000lb), a diameter of 1.5m (04.9feet) and a total length of 15.1m (49.5feet).[1]
