Raymondville Independent School District Explained

Raymondville Independent School District is a public school district based in Raymondville, Texas, United States.

In addition to Raymondville, the district serves the census-designated places of Ranchette Estates and Los Angeles Subdivision.[1]

In 2009, the school district was rated "academically acceptable" by the Texas Education Agency.[2]

History

Previously RISD took high school students from the Lasara Independent School District.[3] Lasara ISD eventually received a high school, with 2011 being the year of the first graduation.[4]

Schools

The school's mascot is the Bearkat and their colors are royal blue and gold.
