Battle of Prairie Grove order of battle: Confederate explained

The offensive was fought in the Trans-Mississippi Theater of the American Civil War on Sunday, December 7, 1862, between Confederate forces and the United States (Union) in the Boston Mountain region of northwestern Arkansas.
