Ponazyrevsky District (ru|Пона́зыревский райо́н) is an administrative[3] and municipal[4] district (raion), one of the twenty-four in Kostroma Oblast, Russia. It is located in the east of the oblast. The area of the district is 2080km2. Its administrative center is the urban locality (an urban-type settlement) of Ponazyrevo. Population: 10,496 (2002 Census); The population of Ponazyrevo accounts for 61.4% of the district's total population.
