Pokémon Horizons: The Series, known in Japan as and is the twenty-sixth overall season of the Pokémon animated series and the first season of Pokemon Horizons, known in Japan as Pocket Monsters (ポケットモンスター, Poketto Monsutā). It was directed by Saori Den and produced by OLM. The season initially ran in Japan on TV Tokyo from April 14, 2023, to March 29, 2024, and was later distributed by the streaming service Netflix in the United States from March 7, 2024, to November 22, 2024. Daiki Tomiyasu is the executive director and Saori Den is serving as the director, Dai Satō as script supervisor, Rei Yamazaki as character designer, Conisch as music composer, and Naotsugu Uchida and Akane Yamago replacing Ryōko Nashimoto as sound editor. Bessatsu CoroCoro Comic and Gakushu Yochien are no longer credited as publishers, and Junichi Masuda and Ken Sugimori are no longer credited as creators.
The season contains two story arcs. The first arc, "Riko to Roi no Tabidachi" (リコとロイの旅立ち, lit. Liko and Roy's Departure), which serves for the first 25 episodes, focuses on the first adventures of two protagonists, Liko and Roy, who team up with the Rising Volt Tacklers to explore the Pokémon world and visit various regions, including the Paldea region, which was introduced in Scarlet and Violet.[1] The second arc, "Terapagosu no Kagayaki" (テラパゴスのかがやき, The Sparkling of Terapagos), which rans for the remaining 20 episodes, deals with the protagonists as they research Liko's pendant, which is a Terapagos.[2] In both of the arcs, they are pursued by the Explorers, a mysterious organization.
On December 16, 2022, The Pokémon Company announced that a new series of the Pokémon anime would air in Japan on April 14, 2023, following the conclusion of a final arc that served as an epilogue to Pokémon Ultimate Journeys, set to conclude the story of Ash Ketchum, the main protagonist of the anime series since it began on April 1, 1997. The first trailer was released on March 3, 2023, announcing that the series would premiere in Japan on April 14, 2023.
On November 9, 2023, it was announced that the English dub would debut in the UK on BBC iPlayer and CBBC on December 4.[3] In the United States, it was originally set for release on February 23, 2024, on Netflix,[4] but was later announced to be released on March 7.[5]

The opening themes are by Asmi featuring Chinozo, by Yama and BotchiBoromaru, "Will" by Ive and "Only One Story" by Zerobaseone.[39] The ending themes are, an image song performed by Minori Suzuki as Liko and Yuka Terasaki as Roy, "Let Me Battle" by 9Lana and "Pikkaan!" by Giga, TeddyLoid and Sakurazaka46 featuring Rina Matsuda and Hikaru Morita. The English opening theme song outside of Southeast Asia is "Becoming Me" by Ed Goldfarb and Haven Paschall, with an instrumental version used as the ending theme. In Southeast Asia, "We Go" (English Version) by Aespa is used as the English opening theme, marking the first time a Korean opening theme is used for the English dub, though the ending theme is the same as the English dub, being an instrumental version of "Becoming Me".
