Pir Bazar Rural District (fa|دهستان پيربازار) is in the Central District of Rasht County, Gilan province, Iran.[2] Its capital is the village of Mobarakabad.[3] The previous capital of the rural district was the village of Pir Bazar,[4] now a city.[3]

Demographics

Population

At the time of the 2006 census, the rural district's population was 21,374 in 5,845 households.[5] There were 16,958 inhabitants in 5,163 households at the following census of 2011.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 16,609 in 5,542 households. The most populous of its 18 villages was Pir Bazar (now a city),[3] with 5,373 people.[7]
