Pertain (pronounced as /fr/) is a former commune in the Somme department in Hauts-de-France in northern France. On 1 January 2017, it was merged into the new commune Hypercourt.[2]
Pertain is situated on the D142 road, some 27miles southeast of Amiens, in the east of the Santerre district.
Founded around the end of the first millennium, the village was first known as "Pertaing". Made up of several now-disappeared hamlets, such as "Mory", "Sacy-Les-Pertain" and “Berseaucourt”.
