Panchhari (bn|পানছড়ি) is an upazila of Khagrachari District in the Division of Chittagong, Bangladesh.
Panchhari is located at 23.2903°N 91.9°W. It has 14,154 households and total area 334.10 km2.
Panchhari is the site of a massacre by Shanti Bahini, the armed wing of the separtist Parbatya Chattagram Jana Samhati Samiti party in 1996.[3] [4]
As of the 2022 Bangladeshi census, Panchhari upazila had a population of 68,678. The ethnic population was 46,000 (66.98%), of which Chakma were 30,270, Tripura 13,295 and Marma 2,143.
Panchhari Upazila is divided into five union parishads: Chengi, Latiban, Logang, Panchhari, and Ultachari. The union parishads are subdivided into 7 mauzas and 220 villages.[5]
