Ningbo–Zhoushan railway explained

Ningbo–Zhoushan high-speed railway is a high-speed railway under construction in Zhejiang Province, China. It will be 76.396km (47.47miles) long and have a design speed of 250km/h.^[1] It is expected to open in 2028.^[2]

History

The preliminary design of the railway was approved in November 2020.^[3] Construction began on 22 December 2020.^{[4] [5]}

The line includes a 16.2 km undersea tunnel.^[6]
