Monica Kim Garza Explained

Monica Kim Garza (born 1988) is an American painter.[1]

Biography

Monica Kim Garza was born in Alamogordo in January, New Mexico to a Korean mother and a Mexican father.[2] She grew up in Georgia and obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in painting and drawing from the California College of the Arts in San Francisco.[3] She specializes in depicting women of color of all shapes and sizes, carefree and ethnically and racially ambiguous, and is known for her nudes, contemporary portraits and sculptures.[4]
