Matías Dell Olio Explained

Matías Dell Olio (born 19 October 1996) is an Argentine skateboarder. He represented Argentina at the 2024 Summer Olympics. He is a World Skateboarding Championship silver medalist.

Career

In October 2023, Dell Olio competed at the 2023 Pan American Games in the street event and finished in fifth place with a score of 215.98.^{[2] [3]}

During the second leg of the 2024 Olympic Qualifier Series in Budapest, Del Olio finished in fifth place.^[4] He ranked 11th in the Olympic World Skateboarding rankings, and qualified for the 2024 Summer Olympics, becoming the first Argentine skateboarder to compete at the Summer Olympic Games.^{[5] [6]} During the street event he ranked fifth in the semifinals with a score of 266.8.^[1] During the finals, he finished in eighth place with a score of 153.98.^[7]

In September 2024, he competed at the World Skateboarding Championship. During the quarterfinals he had the highest score of 81.79 points.^{[8] [9]} During the finals he won a silver medal with a score of 265.18.^{[10] [11]}
