Mariusz Pawełek (born 17 March 1981) is a Polish footballer. A goalkeeper throughout most of his professional career, he now plays as a forward for Silesia Lubomia, where he also serves as chairman.[1] He has previously served as a goalkeeping coach for his former club GKS Jastrzębie.[2]
On 26 September 2017 Pawełek was signed to Jagiellonia Białystok for the rest of the season to fill in for injured Damian Węglarz.[3] [4] In 2021, he ended his professional football career.[2] On 10 March 2022, he rejoined his childhood club Silesia Lubomia, playing in the Polish sixth division.[5]
Pawełek was appointed goalkeeping coach of GKS Jastrzębie on 23 December 2021.[2] On 14 October 2024, Pawełek amicably parted ways with GKS in order to focus on other projects.[6]
