Luo Shifang (; born 2 April 2001) is a Chinese weightlifter. She won the gold medal in the women's 59kg event at the 2024 Summer Olympics held in Paris, France.[3]
Luo took up weightlifting at the age of 12. She started practicing to improve her physical fitness.[4]
Luo won a medal in the women's 59kg event at the 2022 World Weightlifting Championships, held in Bogotá, Colombia.[5] She won the gold medal in her event at the 2023 Asian Weightlifting Championships held in Jinju, South Korea.[6]
In 2023, she won the gold medal in the women's 59kg event at the World Weightlifting Championships held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.[7] [8] She won the silver medal in her event at the 2022 Asian Games held in Hangzhou, China.[9]
She is the current gold medalist on Women's 59 Kg by winning at 2024 Summer Olympics held in Paris on August 8, 2024. In this occasion she established three Olympic records on weightlifting: Snatch, Clean & Jerk and Total score.
