Lubian is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Grunwald, within Ostróda County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland.[1] It lies approximately 10km (10miles) south-east of Gierzwałd (the gmina seat), 280NaN0 south-east of Ostróda, and 400NaN0 south-west of the regional capital Olsztyn. It is situated on the eastern shore of Lake Lubiańskie in the historic region of Masuria.
Lubian was founded by Polish people, and as of 1599 its population was solely Polish.[2]
