List of storms named Imelda explained

The name Imelda was used for two tropical cyclones worldwide: one each in the Atlantic Ocean and the south-West Indian Ocean.

In the Atlantic:

• Tropical Storm Imelda (2019) – was the fourth-wettest storm on record in the U.S. state of Texas.

In the South-West Indian:

• Cyclone Imelda (2013) – did not affect land.
