Public Libraries

The public libraries in New South Wales are operated by local councils, in some cases cooperatively as "regional libraries".^[9] There are 89 library services which operate more than 350 public libraries across the state. All NSW libraries are governed by the Library Act 1939^[10] and managed financially by the State Library of New South Wales.^[11]
