• Janina Altman - a Jewish diarist in the Lwow Ghetto. Survived the Shoah and war.
• Nonna Bannister (19272004) - a Russian Jewish diarist who wrote diaries while working as a Ostarbeiter in Germany, along with her mother, Anna.
