Leanne Fletcher Morgan born on October 3, 1965,[1] is an American standup comedian, actress, and author.[2] She released her first Netflix comedy special, Leanne Morgan: I'm Every Woman, in 2023.
Morgan grew up in Adams, Tennessee in a farming family.[3] [4] Her family operated a pig processing plant. She attended Jo Byrns High School, graduating with the class of 1983; she graduated with a degree in child and family studies from the University of Tennessee.[5] [6]
Staying busy after having her first baby, Morgan worked as a jewelry saleswoman.[4] [7] [8] While making door-to-door sales, she began talking about motherhood and making jokes with clients who related to her jokes; they eventually began booking her for comedy gigs.[9] Her first comedy special on YouTube had over 50 million views by 2023. Her Netflix special, Leanne Morgan: I'm Every Woman, was in the top 10 comedy specials on the platform.[10]
On September 24, 2024, Leanne released her first book, titled What in the World?! A Southern woman's guide to laughing at life's unexpected curveballs and beautiful blessings.
She is managed by Levity Talent and represented by United Talent Agency.[11]
Morgan was married at the age of 21 but ended the abusive relationship. At the age of 26 she married Chuck Morgan, whom she met at the University of Tennessee.[4] [12] After getting married, they moved to Bean Station, where Chuck owned and operated a used mobile home business.[4] Leanne and her family later moved to San Antonio, Texas and then Knoxville, Tennessee.[4] [12] She and her husband have three children.[13] [14]
