Kapušany is a village and municipality in Prešov District in the Prešov Region of eastern Slovakia.
In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1248.
The municipality lies at an altitude of 280 metres and covers an area of 11.3km2 (2020-06-30/-07-01).[1]
It has a population of about 2,264 people (2020-12-31).[2]
It is well known internationally through the popular polka tune, "Ja parobok z Kapušan" ("I am a bachelor from Kapusany").
