Joseph Andrew "Scooter" Scudero (July 2, 1930 – September 11, 2019[1]) was an American professional football player who was a safety in the National Football League (NFL) for the Washington Redskins and Pittsburgh Steelers. He also played one season in Canadian Football League (CFL) with the Toronto Argonauts, where he was an all-star.

He was born in San Francisco, California, and played college football for the San Francisco Dons. He was a starter on the legendary undefeated 1951 Dons team, which turned down an invitation to the 1952 Orange Bowl due to racial segregation rules.he died in 2019
