Jack Nelson is an American college football offensive tackle for the Wisconsin Badgers.
Early life
Nelson attended high school at Stoughton. Coming out of high school, Nelson was rated as a five-star recruit where he decided to commit to play college football for the Wisconsin Badgers.[1] [2]
College career
During Nelson's first collegiate season in 2020, Nelson decided to use the season to redshirt and appeared in one game against Michigan.[3] During the 2021 season, Nelson started all 13 games for the Badgers at right guard.[4] For his performance on the 2021 season, Nelson was named a honorable mention all-Big Ten selection.[5] During the 2022 season, Nelson played in and started all 12 games at left tackle for Wisconsin.[6] In the 2023 season, Nelson started all 13 games for the Badgers at left tackle.[7]
Personal life
Nelson's father Todd played as an offensive tackle for the Wisconsin Badgers, and his younger brother Barrett is also an offensive tackle for Wisconsin.[8]
