Iván Chávez is a Mexican entrepreneur and executive vice president of Grupo Vidanta, a Mexican design, construction, and financing conglomerate.[1] [2] [3]
He is also the founder of Sweet Paris, a crepe chain in Texas.[4]
Iván Chávez was born on July 16, 1985, in Guadalajara, Mexico. His father, Daniel Chávez Morán, is the founder of Grupo Vidanta.[5] [2]
In 2007, Chávez earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics with a double major in real estate development and entrepreneurship from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business.
Chávez joined Grupo Vidanta in 2007. Since joining Grupo Vidanta, Chávez has led the development of Joyà organised in collaboration with Cirque du Soleil and VidantaWorld.[6]
Chávez and his wife Allison Young started Sweet Paris, a crepe chain in Texas. The first Sweet Paris Crêperie opened in Houston in 2012.[7]
In 2018, Chávez was selected for President’s Leadership Council of the Inter-American Dialogue, and the Wilson Center´s Latin American Program advisory board, both a U.S.-based think tanks in the field of international affairs.[8] [9]
