Hir District (fa|بخش هیَر) is in Ardabil County, Ardabil province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Hir.[2]
Demographics
Population
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the district's population was 23,547 in 4,963 households.[3] The following census in 2011 counted 21,709 people in 5,692 households.[4] The 2016 census measured the population of the district as 19,282 inhabitants living in 5,659 households.[5]
In 2019, the village of Aralluy-e Bozorg merged with another village to form the new city of Arallu.[6]
