Hippea Explained

Hippea is an obligate anaerobic and moderately thermophilic bacteria genus from the family of Desulfobacteraceae.^{[1] [2] [3]} Hippea is named after the German microbiologist Hans Hippe.^[3]

Phylogeny

The currently accepted taxonomy is based on the List of Prokaryotic names with Standing in Nomenclature (LPSN)^[4] and National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI)^[5]
