Hildur Rúnarsdóttir is an Icelandic police officer haunted by the past. Hildur (born in a fictional farm Kotsdalur, in Westfjords) lives and works at a village called Ísafjörður, where she looks into the mysteries of her family while solving murders. A close colleague of Hildur is a Finnish police officer Jakob (born in Helsinki), with family roots in Äkäslompolo. [5] [6]
