Hellenic National Space Committee Explained

Hellenic Space Center^[1] (Greek: Ελληνικό Κέντρο Διαστήματος, Elliniko Kentro Diastimatos; acronym: ΕΛΚΕΔ, ELKED) is a non-profit organization^[2] dedicated to the exploration and development of space. It is based in Athens, Greece, and is a member of the European Space Agency (ESA) and the European Strategy Forum on Research and Innovation (Eurospace).^[3]

Since its establishment in 2003, the committee has been responsible for Greece's involvement in many projects of interest to the European Space Agency, including the European Space Observation Systems.
