Gohar Ejaz is a Pakistani businessman and philanthropist. He is the current chief executive officer (CEO) of Ejaz Group and the owner of 24 Digital and Lake City in Lahore.[1]
Ejaz was the caretaker Federal Minister for Interior, Commerce and Minister for Trade, Industry and Production from 17 August 2023 to March 2024.
Gohar Ejaz is the son of Sheikh Ejaz Ahmad.[2]
In January 2024, Ejaz was appointed as the Caretaker Federal Interior Minister.[3] He assumed this role in addition to his current responsibilities as Federal Minister for Commerce, Industry and Production.[4] This appointment has been implemented after the resignation of former Caretaker Home Minister Sarfraz Bugti.[5]
Ejaz's wealth includes stock market shares worth over Rs 1.50 billion, jewellery worth Rs 40.36 million and cash in banks worth Rs 10.60 million. His younger children own more than 1.57 billion rupees.[6]
Ejaz was awarded the Sitara-e-Imtiaz in 2011.[7] He was also awarded an honorary doctorate in management from Punjab University, Lahore.[8]
