G.S. Iraklis Thessalonikis (el|Γ.Σ. Ηρακλής Θεσσαλονίκης, in Greek, Modern (1453-); pronounced as /iɾa'klis/), also known as Iraklis STIHL for sponsorship reasons,[1] is the women's basketball team of G.S. Iraklis Thessalonikis, the multi–sport club based in Thessaloniki, Greece.[2] The club plays in the Greek A1 National Division and FIBA EuroCup.[3] They have won four Greek Championships, in 1967, 1968, 1970 and 1971.[4]
G.S. Iraklis Thessalonikis was the first champion of the Greek Women's Basketball League, in 1967. Iraklis Thessalonikis won even three championships, in 1968, 1971 and 1972. Nevertheless, the next years the club was weakened. In season 2018–2019, Iraklis Thessalonikis finished one place above the last place in A1 National Division and was relegated in A2 National Division. In season 2022–2023, Iraklis Thessalonikis won the championship of A2 National Division.
