Dum Dum Park is a neighbourhood in South Dumdum of North 24 Parganas district in the Indian state of West Bengal. It is a part of the area covered by Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA).[2]

Geography

Dum Dum Park is flanked by Shyamnagar, Satgachi and Nagerbazar in the north, Bidhannagar in the south, Baguiati and adjacent areas of VIP Road in the east and the posh locality of Lake Town and Bangur Avenue in the west.

Police station

Lake Town police station under Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate has jurisdiction over Dum Dum Park.[3]

Durga Puja

In recent years, various organizations in Dum Dum Park like Dum Dum Park Tarun Sangha, Dum Dum Park Bharat Chakra, Dum Dum Park Tarun Dal, Dum Dum Park Yubak Brinda and Dum Dum Park Sarbojanin Durga Puja Samity have come into limelight for their most elaborate and innovative theme Durga Puja.[4] [5] [6]

Howrah Station is the major railway station which is at a distance of 11 km from Dum Dum Park. Sealdah Station is another major railway station which is at a distance of 8.5 km from Dum Dum Park.
