Dubno is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Boćki, within Bielsk County, Podlaskie Voivodeship, in north-eastern Poland.[1] It lies approximately 6km (04miles) east of Boćki, 160NaN0 south of Bielsk Podlaski, and 540NaN0 south of the regional capital Białystok.
In early 17th century, voivode Mikołaj Sapieha erected a mansion in Dubno with four steeples, utterly destroyed during the Swedish Deluge. In late 18th century, the Potocki family built there one of the first sugar refinery plants in Poland.[2]
According to the 1921 census, the village was inhabited by 317 people, among whom 12 were Roman Catholic, 292 Orthodox, 9 Mosaic and 4 different. At the same time, 10 inhabitants declared Polish nationality, 298 Belarusian and 9 Jewish. There were 31 residential buildings in the village.[3]
