Andrew Louis Klemm (born March 28, 2000),[1] known professionally as Drew Louis, is an American record producer, singer, and songwriter.[2] [3] He is best known for his work with RuPaul's Drag Race contestants Trinity the Tuck, Kylie Sonique Love, and Amanda Tori Meating,[4] as well as Sony Japan's The Gospellers,[5] and Yena.[6]
Louis's professional musical career began while studying at the Los Angeles College of Music,[7] where he met K-pop and J-pop singer-songwriter Mayu Wakisaka.[8] In 2021, Louis and Wakisaka co-wrote "Loving Out Loud" for The Gospellers.[9] They then co-wrote "Vacay" & "Lxxk 2 U" for Yena's debut mini-album Smiley, as well as the title track of her third mini-album Good Morning in 2024.[10]
Louis released his single "Love So Right" in June 2023.[11] Earmilk described it as "...[A] nostalgic pop single... with an anthemic sing-a-long worthy chorus...".[12] In Billboard Argentina, Louis stated that the song was mainly inspired by his love of pop music from the 2010s.[13] In October 2023, Louis was awarded the Music Forward LGBTQ+ Emerging Artist Award by Live Nation.[14]
In May 2023, Drew produced the titular single for the Drag Isn't Dangerous digital fundraiser.[15] In November 2023, Louis executive produced and co-wrote with Trinity the Tuck.[16] The cast featured multiple past Drag Race contestants.[17] He then produced "My Kitty" for Amanda Tori Meating, which premiered on RuPaul's Drag Race Season 16 in January 2024. In an interview with Wonderland in February 2024, Louis announced that he was executive producing Trinity the Tuck's dark-pop album Sinematic. He told Notion that the album was inspired by their shared love of The Pussycat Dolls and Britney Spears.
In June 2024, Louis co-wrote and produced Grant & Ash’s debut viral single “A Twink and a Redhead”, and went on to executive produce their debut EP A Twink and a Redhead.[18] [19] He then produced and co-wrote a Christmas single for Jillian Rossi titled "Ms. Claus" in November 2024.[20]
