History

The team was announced on November 7, 2023, during that day's Dothan City Commission with the placeholder name Dothan FC and its inaugural season to be part of the 2024 USL League Two season.[1]

In December 2023 a name-the-team contest was held[2] and the official club name was announced on January 23, 2024, during a public ceremony.[3]
