Conway is a city in Taylor County, Iowa, United States. The population was 17 at the 2020 census. Making it the third smallest incorporated place in Iowa. [2]
Conway was laid out 1872 by the Burlington and Missouri River Railroad.[3] The B&M was acquired later than year by the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad). The town was incorporated in 1878.[4]
Conway is located along the East Fork of the One Hundred and Two River.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.22sqmi, all land.[5]
As of the census of 2020,[6] there were 17 people, 13 households, and 10 families residing in the city. The population density was 77.0 inhabitants per square mile (29.7/km2). There were 17 housing units at an average density of 77.0 per square mile (29.7/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 94.1% White, 0.0% Black or African American, 0.0% Native American, 0.0% Asian, 0.0% Pacific Islander, 0.0% from other races and 5.9% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino persons of any race comprised 0.0% of the population.
Of the 13 households, 46.2% of which had children under the age of 18 living with them, 46.2% were married couples living together, 7.7% were cohabitating couples, 46.2% had a female householder with no spouse or partner present and 0.0% had a male householder with no spouse or partner present. 23.1% of all households were non-families. 23.1% of all households were made up of individuals, 7.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years old or older.
