For the 2024-2025 academic year, the university is expected to be "dual running", maintaining separate programmes and policies for City and St George's students, and retaining "City, University of London" and "St George’s, University of London" as trading names.[2]

In September 2024, the university was named "University of the Year for Graduate Jobs" by the Daily Mail University Guide 2025.[3]
