Choghadak (fa|چغادك) is a city in, and the capital of, Choghadak District of Bushehr County, Bushehr province, Iran.[2] It also serves as the administrative center for Howmeh Rural District.[3]

Demographics

Language

The majority of the city is Farsi speaking with a sizable portion of Arabic speakers.[4]

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the city's population was 16,425 in 3,497 households, when it was in the Central District.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 18,072 people in 4,376 households.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the city as 18,702 people in 5,147 households.[7]

In 2018, Choghadak and parts of Howmeh Rural District were separated from the district in the establishment of Choghadak District.[2]
