Chmieleń (pronounced as /pl/) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Lubomierz, within Lwówek Śląski County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland.[1] It lies approximately 5km (03miles) south-west of Lubomierz, 17km (11miles) south-west of Lwówek Śląski, and 111km (69miles) west of the regional capital Wrocław.

A minor trade route passed through the village in the late medieval and early modern periods, connecting Wrocław, Bolków and Jelenia Góra with Gryfów, Lubań and Zgorzelec.[2]
