Chhattisgarh Cricket Premier League is a Twenty20 franchise cricket tournament in State of Chhattisgarh in India.[1] organised by Chhattisgarh State Cricket Sangh (CSCS) and first contested during the 2024 season.[2] It is contested by six teams based in cities around the State's.The first winners of the tournament were Raipur Rhinos.[3]
In June 2024, the Chhattisgarh Cricket Premier League was launched. The league was aimed to make up for the absence of high-profile matches in Chhattisgarh every year and to expose talented players from districts.
The Chhattisgarh Cricket Premier League 2024 Is A Domestic T20 Tournament Organized By The Chhattisgarh State Cricket Sangh (CSCS).
The Tournament Is Scheduled To Start On Friday, June 7, And Will Conclude On Sunday, June 16. It Will Be The First Edition Of The Tournament.
A Total Of 18 Matches Are Scheduled To Take Place In This Edition Of The Tournament At The Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium In Raipur.
A Total Of Six Teams Are Going To Participate In The Tournament. These Six Teams Are: Bastar Bisons, Raipur Rhinos, Bilaspur Bulls, Rajnandgaon Panthers, Raigarh Lions, And Surguja Tigers.
There Will Be An Opening Ceremony Before The First Game Of The Tournament On Friday, June 7 In Raipur At 5:00 Pm IST. Singer B Praak And Rapper Ankit Will Perform At The Ceremony. Suresh Raina Has Been Roped In As The Brand Ambassador Of The Tournament.[4]
Six city-based teams will compete during the school summer holidays.There will be 18 matches in the league stage of the tournament, with the top four teams qualifying for the semi-final stage. The winners of both the semi-final matches will be the finalists.
Six franchises are competing in the league.[5] The franchises are named after a cities it is representing in the state.
