Chernsky District (ru|Че́рнский райо́н) is an administrative district (raion), one of the twenty-three in Tula Oblast, Russia.[1] As a municipal division, it is incorporated as Chernsky Municipal District.[2] It is located in the southwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 1614km2.[3] Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Chern. Population: 20,476 (2010 Census); The population of Chern accounts for 31.3% of the district's total population.
