Catrien Santing Explained
Catharina Geertruida Santing (born 1958), commonly going by Catrien Santing.[2] is a Dutch medievalist. Her research focuses on cultural history and medical history in the late-medieval and early-modern Low Countries.
Career
Santing studied History and Art History at the University of Groningen, and worked as a lecturer in the same institution.[3] She obtained her doctorate in 1992 with a thesis on the Renaissance physician Theodericus Ulsenius. She has since 2009 been full professor of Medieval History in Groningen.[4] She has also served as chair of the editorial board of .
