Bouchercon XLII explained
Bouchercon is an annual convention of creators and devotees of mystery and detective fiction.[1] It is named in honour of writer, reviewer, and editor Anthony Boucher; also the inspiration for the Anthony Awards, which have been issued at the convention since 1986.[2] This page details Bouchercon XLII and the 26th Anthony Awards ceremony.
Bouchercon
The convention was held in the Renaissance St. Louis Grand Hotel of Saint Louis, Missouri, on September 15, 2011, and ran until September 18.[3] The event was chaired by publisher and editors of Crimespree magazine, Jon Jordan.[4] David Thompson, the co-owner of Houston bookstore "Murder by the Book" was also supposed to chair, however died before the event.[5] [6]
